Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the screws from the lower steering column trim cover.
  3. Remove the upper steering column trim cover from the steering column.

  4. Remove the screws from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

  5. Gently pry out the instrument panel cluster trim plate form the IP carrier with a small flat-bladed tool.
  6. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate from the IP carrier.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IP dimmer switch.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the hazard warning switch.
