Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cigar lighter fuse.
  2. Remove the cigar lighter element (2).
  3. Remove the cigar lighter housing (4) by placing one side of the "T" portion of the tool (3) J 42059  into the tab opening inside the lighter housing (4).

    Angle the other side of the tool (3) into the other tab opening inside the lighter housing (4)

    Remove the lighter housing (4) by pulling the tool rearward from the IP trim plate (1).

  4. Remove the tool from the lighter housing (4).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lighter housing (4).
  6. Remove the lighter retainer (5) using your index finger and pulling out.
