Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery negative terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary battery positive and negative cables. Refer to Battery Positive Cable Replacement - Auxiliary  and Battery Negative Cable Replacement - Auxiliary  .
  4. Remove the auxiliary battery hold-down retainer bolt.
  5. Remove the auxiliary battery from the auxiliary battery tray.

  7. Remove the auxiliary battery hold-down tray bolts.
  8. Remove the auxiliary battery tray from the vehicle.
