Inspection (M/T)

  1. Inspect flywheel for missing or damaged clutch plate pins, excessive wear to the ring gear teeth, broken damper springs, loose rivets or clutch surface for cracking, hot spots, grooved, or excessive wear.
  2. Replace flywheel assembly if any of conditions are found. Replace ring gear on flywheel if teeth are worn or damaged.
  3. Heat ring gear evenly with a torch. Do not overheat. Using a hammer and punch, remove ring gear.
