Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat cushion heater element, if equipped. Refer to Seat Cushion Heater Element Replacement - Front .
  2. Install the seat cushion pad to the seat cushion frame.

  4. Using a side motion, carefully pull the seat cushion cover onto the frame pad.

  6. Attach the seat trim cover to the seat cushion frame.

  8. Install the lumbar actuator (5).
  9. Install the seat switch bezel. Refer to Seat Switch Bezel Replacement .

  11. Place the cushion on the rear plastic holders (1) on the underside of the seat cushion, and push rearward.

  13. Connect the lumbar cable to the underside of the seat cushion (6). Connect the lumbar wire harness (if equipped with power lumbar).
  14. Connect the electrical connectors.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  16. Install the front nuts (2) onto the studs on the underside of the cushion.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  17. Feed the seat belt through the seat cushion.

  19. Install the outboard seat belt anchor nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  20. Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .
