Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake shoe to the actuator.
  2. Install the park brake shoe retaining clip and retaining clip bolt. Tighten the bolt to 3 N.m (25 lb ft).
  3. Install the park brake assembly and backing plate to the steering knuckle.
  4. Install the wheel bearing.
  5. Install the park brake cable to the park brake actuator lever.
  6. Install the rear park brake bracket bolt. Tighten the bolt to 61 N.m (45 lb ft).
  7. Install the park brake cable to the equalizer bar.
  8. Adjust the park brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
