Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear quarter panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER - RIGHT (UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER - RIGHT (SUBURBAN) , or to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER - LEFT (UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER - LEFT (SUBURBAN) .
  2. Remove the rear amplifier, if installed on top of the subwoofer. Refer to Amplifier Replacement (Base)  or Amplifier Replacement (Denali Yukon)  or Amplifier Replacement (Denali Suburban)  or Amplifier Replacement (Escalade EXT) .
  3. Fig 1: Rear Quarter Speaker (Bose Subwoofer)

  4. Remove the subwoofer retaining bolts (1).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the subwoofer from the vehicle.
