2	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Turn ON the radio. Adjust the fade and balance knobs to the middle detent. Insert a tape, CD, or CD magazine with at least 1 audio CD inside, into the remote playback device. Turn ON the remote playback device. Does the remote playback device play on the right and left audio channels?	Go to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS	Go to Step 3
3	Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the remote playback device. Test the appropriate output remote playback device audio signal circuits of the remote playback device for a short, high resistance, or an open. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING andWIRING REPAIRS .
