Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Before you install the master cylinder, bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING  . Install the brake master cylinder to the brake booster. Install the brake master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten the brake master cylinder mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Remove the plugs from the brake pipes. Connect the brake pipes to the brake master cylinder. Tighten the brake pipe fittings to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING, FILLING & FLUSHING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Release the park brake.
