Brake Pedal Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the brake pedal bracket to the vehicle. Install the nuts to the studs on the power brake booster. Tighten the power brake booster retaining nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the bolt to the brake pedal bracket. Tighten the upper brake pedal bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the instrument panel harness to the brake pedal bracket. Install the pushrod and stoplight switch assembly to the brake pedal pin. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH  .
  4. Check the brake pedal travel. See BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL  .
