Oil Pressure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The PCM monitors the oil pressure sensor and sends class 2 messages to the DIC indicating the oil pressure. The oil pressure parameter is displayed on the DIC in one of the following formats:

The ### represents the oil pressure value as determined by the PCM. The units of the display correspond to the current IPC setting (English/metric). The DIC displays - instead of an oil pressure value if the DIC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM. The oil pressure cannot be reset by the driver.
