Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Slide the extension forward and onto the upper fasteners.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts attaching the console extension to the IP. Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lbs in).
  3. Install the console extension upper compartment insert.
  4. Install the remote CD player, if equipped. Refer to REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT .
  5. Install the trim bezel. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lbs in).

  7. Position the center console on the bracket (2).
  8. Install the screws attaching the center console to the console extension. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lbs in).

  10. Install the cupholder by push until the unit locks into place.

  12. Install the 4 retaining bolts to the bracket. Tighten the bolts to 3.5 N.m (31 lbs in).
  13. Close the console door.
