Installation Procedure

  1. Install the underhood fuse block base into the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the underhood fuse block fasteners.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 in lbs).

  3. Connect the engine harness connector to the underhood fuse block.

  4. Connect the underhood fuse block connectors and tighten the 3 retaining bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 6.6 N.m (58 in lbs).

  5. Install the underhood fuse block by pressing it into the 4 retaining locks until an audible click is heard.

  6. Install the accumulator cover.
  7. Install the wiring harness into the clip in the accumulator cover.
  8. Position the positive cables onto the stud.

  9. Install the positive battery cable fastener (1) to the underhood fuse block.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fastener to 15 N.m (11 ft lbs).

  10. Install the cover onto the underhood fuse block.

  11. Reposition the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover.
  12. Close the retaining clip in order to secure the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PRO .
