- J 36660-A Torque Angle Meter
- J 42041 Crankshaft Balancer and Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer
- J 43442 Flywheel Holder
- Install the J 43442.
- Use the J 42041
(1), nut, bearing and washer J 42041-2 (2) to install the crankshaft balancer.
Important: Do not lubricate the crankshaft front oil seal or crankshaft balancer sealing surfaces. The crankshaft balancer is installed into a dry seal.
- Place the crankshaft balancer in position on the crankshaft.
- Thread the J 42041 in the crankshaft. Make sure you engage at least ten threads of the J 42041 before pressing the crankshaft balancer in place.
- Push the crankshaft balancer into position by tightening the nut on the J 42041 until the large washer bottoms out on the crankshaft end.
- Remove the J 42041.
- Install the crankshaft balancer bolt.
CAUTION: Refer to in FASTENER NOTICE .
- Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt.
Tighten
- 8.1. Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
- 8.2. Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt an additional 120 degrees using the J 36660-A.
- Remove the J 43442.
- Install the drive belt tensioner. Be sure to locate the tensioner anchor pin in the cylinder head recess (1).
- Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
