Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel.
  3. Remove the bolt (8) and nut (2) retaining the bracket to the axle.

  5. Remove the bracket (7) from the vehicle.
  6. Remove the bolt (4) retaining the brake hose bracket (3) to the axle.
  7. Using the J 44664  (2), remove the nut (1) retaining the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle.

  8. Remove the upper ball joint (3) retaining bolts (2) and stud (1).

  9. Using the J 44663  (2), remove the upper ball joint stud from the steering knuckle.

  10. Remove the upper ball joint (1) from the vehicle.
