Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 5. This step tests if the EBCM is commanding the inverting driver module to turn OFF the traction off indicator.
- 6. This step tests if the inverting driver module is receiving adequate power and ground in order to power up.
- 7. This step tests the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and the traction off indicator control circuit for proper function.
- 10. This step simulates pressing and releasing a properly functioning traction control switch.
- 11. The traction control switch may be damaged if the traction control switch signal circuit is shorted to voltage.
- 12. This step tests the traction off indicator control circuit for faults by substituting the IPC with a test lamp.
