Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

5. This step tests if the EBCM is commanding the inverting driver module to turn OFF the traction off indicator.
6. This step tests if the inverting driver module is receiving adequate power and ground in order to power up.
7. This step tests the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and the traction off indicator control circuit for proper function.
10. This step simulates pressing and releasing a properly functioning traction control switch.
11. The traction control switch may be damaged if the traction control switch signal circuit is shorted to voltage.
12. This step tests the traction off indicator control circuit for faults by substituting the IPC with a test lamp.
