Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT in Engine Mechanical - 4.0L.
  3. Remove the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump.

  4. Remove the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.

  5. Remove the power steering pump bracket mounting bolt.
  6. Remove the power steering pump assembly.

  8. Remove the power steering pulley from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LX5)  or Power Steering Pulley Replacement (L47)  .
  9. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle  .
