Audio Right or Left Amplifier Channel Malfunction

  1. Low level audio circuit from the radio is open or shorted. Test the appropriate low level audio circuits of the radio for an open or short. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and to WIRING REPAIRS .
  2. Low level audio output from the radio is not evident. Test for any AC voltage between the appropriate low Level Audio Signal circuits at the amplifier harness connector, disconnected with the radio volume adjusted to an audible level. If AC voltage is not present, replace the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  3. Low level audio circuit from the RSAT module leading to both Bose 2000 amplifiers is open or shorted. Test the appropriate low level audio circuits of the RSAT for an open or short. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and to WIRING REPAIRS .
  4. Audio output from the amplifier is not evident. Test for any AC voltage between the appropriate speaker output circuits at the speaker harness connector, disconnected with the radio volume adjusted to an audible level. If AC voltage is present, replace the speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement Reference . If AC voltage is not present, replace the amplifier. Refer to Amplifier Replacement - Rear Quarter (Luxury Y91) .
