Installation (Front)

  1. Connect the park brake cable to the vehicle. Connect the cable retainer to the vehicle. Tighten the cable retainer bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the park brake cable at the connector clip. Lower the vehicle. Parking brake adjustment is not necessary. This is a self adjusting system and damage may result from attempting to adjust or modify this system in any way. It may be necessary to adjust the rear brakes to obtain the proper tension in the system. See DRUM BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
  3. Install the park brake cable to the park brake lever. Install the park brake pedal and nuts.
  4. Install the PCM and bracket. See appropriate ENGINE PERFORMANCE article. Install the carpet to the left side of the vehicle. Install the left carpet retainer. Install the left sound insulator.
