Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING  under BLEEDING, FILLING & FLUSHING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  2. Install the master cylinder to the vacuum brake booster. Install the master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the brake pipes to the master cylinder. Tighten the brake pipe fittings at the master cylinder to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level sensor. Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
