Front Brake Hose: Installation

  1. Assemble the NEW copper brake hose gaskets and the brake hose bolt to the brake hose. Install the front brake hose-to-caliper bolt to the caliper. Tighten the brake hose-to-caliper bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Remove the rubber cap or plug from the exposed brake pipe fitting end. Position the brake hose into the mounting bracket and install the retaining clip. Connect the front brake pipe to the front brake hose. Tighten the front brake pipe fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Visually inspect that the hose does not make contact with any part of the suspension. Check the hoses in extreme right and left turn conditions. If the hose makes contact, remove the hose and correct the condition.
  4. Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Lower the vehicle.
