Installation Procedure

- Install the hinge/recliner mechanism (2) to the seat assembly.CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts in order to retain the hinge/recliner mechanism to the seatback frame.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts in order to retain the hinge/recliner mechanism to the seatback frame to 35 N.m (26 ft lbs).
- Install the bolts in order to retain the hinge/recliner mechanism to the seat cushion frame.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts in order to retain the hinge/recliner mechanism to the seat cushion frame to 35 N.m (26 ft lbs).
- Install the front seatback cover. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (All Except Luxury) or Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Luxury Y91) .
- Install the front seat cushion cover. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover Replacement - Front (All Except Luxury) or Seat Cushion Cover Replacement - Front (Luxury Y91) .
- Install the front seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (All Except Luxury) or Seat Replacement - Bucket (Luxury Y91) .
