Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Savana Special, 2002 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2002 GMC Savana, and 2002 Chevrolet Chevy Express. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  For the best finished appearance when attaching the seat back cover to the pad, proceed as follows:

Install the seat back pad to the seat back frame.

  1. Center the seat back cover on the pad.
  2. Starting at the top and working down the sides, apply pressure along the break line. This helps attach the seat back cover to the J-hook fasteners.
  3. Reset the hook-and-loop fasteners that retain the seat back cushion to the pad.
  4. Install the armrests. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Front Seat (All Except Luxury)  or Armrest Replacement - Front Seat (Luxury Y91)  or Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (All Except Luxury)  or Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat (Luxury Y91)  .
  5. Install the headrest. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (Luxury (Y91)) .
  6. Install the bucket seat in the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (All Except Luxury)  or Seat Replacement - Bucket (Luxury Y91)  .
