Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the push-in-retainers from the rear quarter panel molding.
  2. Remove the bolt from the bottom of the rear quarter panel.

  4. Heat the upper edge of the rear quarter panel molding to 21-32°C (70-90°F).
    • Keep the J 25070  at a distance of 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
    • Use the J 25070  in a circular motion for 30 seconds.
  5. Use a J 41409  in order to strip the upper edge of the rear quarter panel molding from the surface.
  6. Remove the rear quarter panel molding from the vehicle.

  7. Remove all of the adhesive from the rear door body panel using 3M 07502  .
  8. Clean the rear door panel surface. Use naphtha, and allow the surface to air-dry.
