Adjusting Screw: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear wheel and tire.
  3. Remove the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM  .
  4. Remove the adjuster spring. Disengage the adjuster spring hook end from the tab on the adjuster actuator.
  5. Use the Brake Shoe Spanner and Spring Remover (J-38400) in order to spread the brake shoes apart.
  6. Remove the adjuster. See Figure .
