STOPLAMP Switch: Installation

  1. Install the stoplamp switch (2) to the brake pedal bracket. See Fig 1 .
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the stoplamp switch.
  3. Adjust the stoplamp switch.
  4. CAUTION: Inspect the left sound insulator for the proper clearance to the accelerator and brake pedals. Improper clearance may result in binding of the accelerator or brake pedals.
  5. Install sound insulator in the following order:
    1. Position the insulator to the vehicle. Install the insulator to the stud at the accelerator pedal.
    2. Rotate the courtesy lamp clockwise in order to connect the courtesy lamp to the insulator.
    3. Install the insulator tabs to the lower instrument panel trim pad retainers.
