Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift)

  1. Install the lock bolt spring (3) into the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  2. Position the cutout in the lock bolt assembly (4) at the 6 o'clock position.
  3. Install the lock bolt assembly (4) into the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  4. Push the lock bolt assembly (4) into the steering column tilt head assembly (5) until the lock bolt assembly (4) is flush with the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  5. Align the electronic lock module assembly (2) with the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
  6. Screw the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) into the electronic lock module assembly (2).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the 3 pan head tapping screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in)

  7. Install the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1) onto the electronic lock module assembly.
  8. Screw the 2 tapping screws (2) into the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the 2 tapping screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

  9. Install the electric park lock (2) onto the electronic lock module assembly (1).

  10. Screw the TORX® head screw (1) into the electric park lock (3).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the TORX® head screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) 

  11. Reconnect the connector (2) to the electric park lock (3).

  12. Install the key alarm connector (1) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2).
    1. 12.1. Push the key alarm connector (1) into the electronic lock module assembly (2).
    2. 12.2. Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees so that the key alarm connector locks into place.
    3. 12.3. Install the steering column lock cylinder set only. Refer to Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift)  or Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift)  .

  13. Install the steering column tilt head housing. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift)  or Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift)  .
