Camshaft Clean And Inspect (Unit Repair)

Inspect valve lifters for scoring where they contact the camshaft.
Inspect camshaft journals and lobes for wear or scoring.
Inspect camshaft sprocket alignment notch for damage.
Inspect camshaft cover for damage or loose oil control baffles.
Clean camshaft cover.
Wash camshaft in solvent.
Inspect camshaft cover for cracks or other signs of damage.
