Auxiliary Coolant Pump - L81: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Drain coolant.
    CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON THE HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE BEING REMOVED.
  3. Raise vehicle.
  4. Disconnect auxiliary coolant pump from engine harness connector.

  5. Remove pump bracket to transmission bolt.
  6. Remove auxiliary coolant pump hose clamp and hose from pump outlet.
  7. Remove heater outlet hose clamp and hose from pump inlet.
