Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls? If yes, go to next step. If no, see DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ENGINE CONTROLS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Select chassis application on the scan tool. Attempt to display anti-lock brake system (ABS) data on the scan tool. Can ABS data be displayed? If yes, see INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
