Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies.
  2. Remove the brake drum. Refer to REAR BRAKE DRUM . Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the axle. The top rear attaching bolt and nut will not clear the brake shoe when removing the hub and bearing assembly. Partially remove the hub and bearing assembly prior to removing this bolt.
  3. Disconnect the rear ABS wheel speed sensor wire connector. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the vehicle.
