Removal (Left Rear)

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Remove the front park brake cable from the cable guides. Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake connector (1). Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1). See Figure .
  2. Disconnect the left rear park brake cable (2) from the equalizer (1). See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove the left park brake cable guide bolt (3). See Fig 2 .
  4. Disconnect the left park brake cable (2) from the park brake lever (3). Use the parking brake cable release tool to depress the locking tabs on the left park brake cable (2). Remove the left park brake cable (2) from the caliper park brake cable bracket (1). See Fig 3 .
  5. Use the parking brake cable release tool to depress the locking tabs on the left park brake cable. Remove the left park brake cable from the rear support mounting bracket (1). See Fig 4 .
