Park Brake Cables: Installation

- Install the left park brake cable (2) to the park brake cable support bracket (1). Press the left park brake cable into the park brake cable support bracket (1). See Figure . Ensure that the locking tabs are properly seated.
- Connect the left park brake cable (2) to the park brake actuator lever (3). Install the left park brake cable into the left brake caliper park brake cable bracket (1). See Figure . Ensure that the locking tabs are properly seated.
- Connect the left park brake cable to the equalizer. Install the left park brake cable into the park brake cable guide.
- Install the left park brake cable guide bolt and tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the intermediate park brake cable to the park brake cable connector. Install the front park brake cable to the cable guides. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle. To ensure that the park brake cable retainers are seated, cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
- Connect the intermediate park brake cable (3) to the equalizer (1). Connect the right rear parking brake cable (5) to the intermediate park brake cable. See Figure .
- Insert intermediate park cable (2) into the cable retaining bracket and lock the intermediate park cable into place. See Figure . Connect the front of the intermediate park brake cable (2) to the park brake cable connector (1). See Figure . Install the front park brake cable to the cable guides. Lower the vehicle. To ensure that the park brake cable retainers are seated, cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
- Install the right park brake cable (2) to the park brake cable support bracket (1). Press the right park brake cable into the park brake cable support bracket (1). Ensure that the locking tabs are properly seated. See Figure .
- Connect the right park brake cable (2) to the park brake actuator lever (3). Install the right park brake cable (2) to the caliper park brake cable bracket (1). Ensure that the locking tabs are properly seated. Connect the intermediate park brake cable connector (3) to the right park brake cable (2). See Figure .
- Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake cable connector (1). Connect the intermediate park brake cable (2) to the park brake connector (1). See Figure .
- Install the right park brake cable into the park brake cable guide.
- Install the right park brake cable guide bolt and tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front park brake cable to the cable guides. Install the right tire and wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle. To ensure that the park brake cable retainers are seated, cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
