Removal (Front)

  1. Remove the brake caliper from the mounting bracket and support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire, or equivalent; do NOT disconnect the hydraulic brake flexible hose from the caliper.
  2. Remove the brake pads from the brake caliper bracket. Remove the brake pad retainers from the brake caliper bracket.
  3. Remove the brake caliper bracket bolts. Remove the brake caliper bracket. Use a wire brush to clean any debris or rust from the brake caliper bracket.
  4. Inspect the brake mounting and hardware. Inspect the brake caliper bracket for cracks or damage. Replace the brake caliper bracket if cracked or damaged.
