Shock Absorber: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack stand.
- Disconnect the automatic level control air tube from the shock absorber.
- Remove the lower shock absorber retaining bolts. See Figure.
- Remove the trunk trim to gain access to the shock upper mounting nuts.
- Remove the cover, the 2 nuts, and the reinforcement from the top of the shock. See Fig 1.
- Remove the shock from the vehicle. See Fig 2.
