Installation (Hydraulic Boost)

  1. Install the master cylinder reservoir. See MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR .
  2. Bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  3. Install the master cylinder to the vehicle. See Figure.
  4. Install the master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Remove the rubber cap or plug from the exposed brake pipe fitting ends. See Figure.
  6. Connect the brake pipes. Tighten the pipe fittings to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level sensor.
  8. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  9. Release the park brake and unblock the wheels.
