Installation (Front)

  1. Install the front park brake cable to the vehicle.
  2. Install the park brake cable to the park brake lever.
  3. Install the park brake cable end to the park brake lever clevis.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle.
  5. Install the park brake cable clips to the park brake cable shielded areas.
  6. Install the park brake cable nuts to the underbody studs. Tighten the park brake cable nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the park brake cable to the park brake cable guides.
  8. Install the park brake cable to the park brake equalizer.
  9. Install the park brake cable end to the park brake cable connector.
  10. Install the park brake left side cable to the park brake equalizer.
  11. Adjust the park brake cable. See appropriate procedure under PARK BRAKE  in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Fold the carpet back in place.
  14. Install the left-side door sill plate.
  15. Install the left-side instrument panel insulator.
