Installation (Front)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Clean any corrosion from the brake rotor flange.
  2. Use the Hub Cleaning Kit (J-42450-A) in order to clean the hub flange.
  3. Install the brake rotor.
  4. Install the brake caliper bracket with the brake caliper. See BRAKE CALIPER BRACKET .
  5. Install the tire and wheel.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level. See MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR  under BLEEDING, FILLING & FLUSHING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  8. If the brake rotor was refinished, or if a new brake rotor was installed, burnish the brake pads and brake rotors. See BURNISHING PADS & ROTORS  under SERVICING.
