Removal (Front)

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel.
  3. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose and the brake pipe fittings.
  4. Remove the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose. Install a rubber cap or plug to the exposed brake pipe fitting end in order to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  5. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to remove the brake hose retainer from the brake hose.
  6. Remove the brake hose from the brake hose bracket.
  7. Remove the brake hose bolt from the brake caliper.
  8. Remove the brake hose from the brake caliper.
  9. Remove and discard the 2 copper brake hose gaskets. These gaskets may be stuck to the brake caliper and/or the brake hose end.
  10. Install a rubber plug into the brake hose bolt hole of the brake caliper in order to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
