Brake Hose: Installation

- Install the NEW copper gaskets on the brake hose bolt.
- Install the front brake hose to brake caliper. Tighten the front brake hose bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the rubber cap or plug from the brake pipe fitting.
- Install the brake hose to the brake pipe.
- Using a backup wrench on the brake pipe fitting, tighten the brake hose fitting. Tighten the brake hose fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the brake pipe retaining clips.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the brake junction block mounting bolt. Tighten the brake junction block bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the brake hose to the brake junction block. Tighten the brake hose fitting to specification.
- Install the brake hose fitting to the brake pipe fitting. Tighten the brake hose fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. See HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM - MANUAL or HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM - PRESSURE under BLEEDING.
- Lower the vehicle.
