Brake System Slow Release

  1. Were you sent here from a Brake Symptom Table? If so, go to next step. If not, see GENERAL DIAGNOSIS (HYDRAULIC BRAKES) .
  2. Inspect hydraulic brake system for proper operation. See GENERAL DIAGNOSIS (HYDRAULIC BRAKES) . Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6. If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect brake assist system for proper operation. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6. If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect drum brake system for proper operation. See GENERAL DIAGNOSIS (DRUM BRAKE) . Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6. If not, go to next step.
  5. Inspect disc brake system for proper operation. See GENERAL DIAGNOSIS (DISC BRAKES) . Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to next step. If not, see GENERAL DIAGNOSIS (HYDRAULIC BRAKES) .
  6. Road test vehicle to confirm proper operation. See BRAKE SYSTEM ROAD TEST . Is the condition still present? If condition is still present, go to step  2.
