Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING .
  2. Install master cylinder to vehicle.
  3. Install combination valve bracket.
  4. Install master cylinder bolts and nuts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Connect brake pipes to master cylinder. See Fig 1. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Bleed hydraulic brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
