Disc Brake Hardware: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels.
  2. Remove wheels.
  3. CAUTION: DO NOT disconnect hydraulic brake flexible hose from caliper.
  4. Remove front brake caliper from mounting bracket and support brake caliper with wire. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER .
  5. Remove the front outboard brake pad. Use a flat-bladed tool to disengage the bottoms on the front brake pad from the holes in the front brake caliper housing.
  6. Remove front inboard brake pad.
  7. Replace caliper bolts, bushings, and sleeves.
