Wiring Harness Assembly

  1. Position transmission with oil pan upward. If present, remove wiring harness connector shipping cover. Using a 1-3/16" (30-32 mm) deep socket or box end wrench, depress 4 tabs on internal wiring harness connector. With tabs depressed, gently pop connector into and through the main transmission housing by hand. See Fig 1.
  2. Disconnect internal wiring harness connectors from following components. See Fig 2.
    • "A" and "B" trim solenoids.
    • "C", "D" and "E" ON/OFF shift solenoids.
    • "F" trim solenoid.
    • Pressure switch assembly.
  3. Remove solenoid retainers from "D" and "E" ON/OFF solenoids. Remove internal wiring harness from main valve body and reinstall solenoid retainers.
