Output Shaft Bushing Replacement

However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install threaded shaft of Output/Turbine Shaft Bushing Remover (J-44526-2) or equivalent, into tool collet. Install this assembly into output shaft bushing. Install lower washer and nut onto threaded shaft. While holding top of threaded shaft with a wrench, tighten lower nut until collet engages the bushing. See Fig 1.
  2. Install sleeve of tool onto threaded shaft. Install bearing, washer and top nut. Hold threaded shaft with a wrench and tighten top nut until bushing is dislodge. Remove tools and bushing. See Fig 1.
  3. Install the NEW bushing onto the Bushing Installer (J-43791) or equivalent. Drive the bushing into the output shaft until the tool is seated. Remove the tool and ensure the bushing is pressed flush to .010" (.25 mm) below the output shaft surface.
