Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors driver head impact air bag high-side and low-side circuit voltage difference. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A low loop resistance indicates an circuits are shorted together.
