Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors passenger head impact air bag high-side and low-side circuit voltage difference. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A low deployment loop resistance indicates a short between passenger head impact air bag module high-side and low-side circuits.
