Installation (All Models)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the evaporator tube to the condenser using new sealing washers. See SEALING WASHER . Install the evaporator tube nut to the condenser. See Figure. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the grille to the vehicle. Install the right park/turn signal light. Connect the evaporator tube to the auxiliary A/C tube using new sealing washers, if equipped. See SEALING WASHER .
  3. Install the evaporator tube nut to the auxiliary A/C tube, if equipped. Tighten to specification. Install the evaporator tube to the evaporator. Install the evaporator tube nut to the evaporator. See Figure. Tighten to specification.
  4. Evacuate and recharge the system. See RECOVERY/EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the components using a Leak Detector.
