Discharge Hose: Installation

  1. Install the discharge hose to the vehicle. See Figure. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C recirculation switch.
  2. Install the discharge hose to the condenser using new sealing washers. See SEALING WASHER . Install the discharge hose nut to the condenser. See Figure. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the upper air baffle.
  3. Install the discharge hose to the A/C compressor using new sealing washers. See SEALING WASHER . Install the discharge hose mounting bolt. See Figure. Tighten to specification.
  4. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY/EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the component using a Leak Detector.
