Installation (6.6L With Harrison - 3500 HD, Cab & Chassis, Sierra, Silverado)

  1. Add the proper amount of PAG oil to the compressor crankcase. See SPECIFICATIONS . Install the A/C compressor. Install the A/C compressor mounting bolts. See Figure. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the electrical connection. Install the refrigerant hose to the compressor using new sealing washers. See COMPRESSOR SEALING WASHERS . Install the drive belt. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY/EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the component using a Leak Detector.
